2017 Luc Lapeyre 'L'Amourier' Minervois MAGNUM 1.5L


Luc & Jean-Yves make several cuvees using varieties typical of the Languedoc region of South West France, namingly Grenache, Cariginan, Syrah.  The climate here is hot, so we’d expect fuller reds, and this is no exception. Luc & Jean-Yves work the land biodynamically and all by hand and are also tres lofi in the winery. The only addition ever being a splash of SO2 just prior to bottling, just enough to ensure the wines travel safely. 

L’Amourier is a blend of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre from the estate's oldest vines. Fermentation extends from two to three weeks and the wine is then rested in old oak barrels for natural malolactic fermentation. 


This is a full bodied, old school red, and would love some air before you drink it. The wine will open up and soften. Giving you all the dark and brooding red fruit, with a lick of tannin to make matching it with a big ol roast beef casserole 100/10.
